Punishment of responsible in lynched brothers of Sialkot demanded

MANCHESTER : Pakistani community living in British city of Manchester have taken out a protest demonstration in front of Pakistani Consulate and protested against the release of police personnel arrested in two brothers lynching at Sialkot few months back and against the lack of interest of government to prosecute the responsible in the case.The protesters demanded of the Pakistani government to award befitting punishment to the murderers of Hafiz Muneeb Sajjad and Mughis Sajjad, who were lynched mercilessly by a crowed of people with clubs and stones in an open place few months back in Sialkot.According to the details the Pakistanis living in Manchester carried out protest demonstration and severely protested against the release of police personnel arrested in the case.The protesters were holding posters and placards scribing the slogans “is the release of police personnel is the fruit of helping the killers” “we want justice” and praying Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to give justice to the bereaved family.The demonstration was addressed by the prominent social workers including Councilor Rab Nawaz, Dr Taimur Yousuf Mirza, Dr Amir Ayyub, Dr Younis Pervez, Humaira Haqai and others.The speakers condemning the death of two brothers by a crowd said that the government not taken any interest in the case that is why the arrested police cops have been released.The speakers said that the government has failed to ensure the security and safety of its citizens, adding that the family of the lynched brothers is wandering here and there for securing justice in the case.
