PPP MPAs claim Sanaullah threatened them over Davis debate

LAHORE: Opposition lawmakers in the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday claimed that Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah had threatened to register cases against them if they continued bringing up the issue of Raymond Davis’ releases.
Speaking to media representatives outside the Punjab Assembly, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) lawmakers Shaukat Basra and Uzma Bukhari alleged that Sanaullah had threatened them with cases if they brought up the subject of the release of the CIA contractor.
Basra further said that he had also challenged Sanaullah for a debate on the Davis case.
However, Sanaullah refuted the allegation.
The provincial law minister said he believed that the heirs of Faizan Haider and Faheem were at a secure location. He said the heirs were last seen in Rawalpindi where they had gone with their lawyer Raja Irshad.
