Firdous for exchange of delegations with BD to enhance cooperation

ISLAMABAD, Mar 29 : Federal Minister for Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on Tuesday called for exchange of delegations between Pakistan and Bangladesh in media and other fields to encourage the culture of learning from each others experiences in various fields besides creating opportunities to enhance cooperation in trade, culture and sports. The minister said this during a meeting with a media delegation from Bangladesh headed by Oliullah Nauman,Secretary General, Federal Union of Journalists, Bangladesh. Shaukat Mahmoor, Fazlul-Haq Rana were also part of the delegation. Additional Secretary Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Shah Zaman Khan was also present in the meeting.Pakistan greatly values its relations with Bangladesh, which are based on the cultural and religious affinities,the minister said adding both the countries need to learn from each others experiences and media should play its role in improving bilateral relations and creating good will between the people of both the countries.
She said that media in Pakistan was totally free and has made tremendous growth in the recent past. She emphasized the need for taking a gigantic stride  for entering into joint ventures especially in textile,  pharmaceutical, tourism, shipping, infrastructural development and other projects of mutual benefit.          
Dr Firdous Ashiq said that religious scholars of both the countries should play their role to promote the true message of Islam, which is love, peace, harmony and promote interfaith harmony.
