ISI negligent, not complicit in Osama affair: Musharraf

Pervez Musharraf has said that reason for not finding out Osama’s whereabouts is ISI’s incompetency.
Former president Pervez Musharraf was talking to the BBC in a current affairs programme. He said that Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) had not been complicit, but incapable of finding out Bin Laden’s hideout. He said that proving links between ISI and Al Qaeda was impossible and it was nothing else but speculation.
Musharraf said that he was shocked after discovering that Osama had been living so close to the center of the Pakistan Army even during his tenure. He said that he admitted that it would be very difficult for Pakistan to cover its incompetence.
The former president said that neither he nor someone else was involved in sheltering Osama in Pakistan. He lashed out at the United States, saying that the US always preferred India which encourages terrorism.
