KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Abdul Rehman Malik Tuesday revealed that a total of 58 outlaws, accused of carrying out target killings in Karachi and a number of extortionists, have been nabbed, including those who possess more than 500 mobile phone SIMs.
In a briefing over law and order situation in metropolis here at Chief Minister House after holding meeting with Qaim Ali Shah and IG Sindh Fayyaz Laghari, the minister informed media men that all political parties had reached a unanimous resolve to maintain law and order in Karachi at all costs.
To a question, Malik described ISI’s discussions in Parliament House as being a bid to malign Pakistan’s most powerful secret agency.
“I am ready to deliver in-camera briefing to parliamentarians pertaining to their concerns over ISI,” he claimed. Police and FIA’s joint investigation teams are all set to kick off stringent action against unregistered, unauthorized mobile phone SIMs after a month, he maintained.
