Dr. Firdous congratulates nation on people friendly budget

ISLAMABAD Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the Budget 2011-2012 is a balanced one and provides relief for the people of the country. Talking to Radio Pakistan’s programme ‘Nai Ufaq’, she congratulated the nation on the fourth budget by the elected government. She termed it a good omen for the democracy in the country. She said “Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz [PML-N] parliamentarians challenged the democratic process in the parliament, which shows that we have not learned from our mistakes”.
She said the undemocratic attitude shown by the PML-N women law makers exposed the true face of the party, and it is an eye opener for the people of Pakistan.
She said PML-N needs democracy only for coming into power as its members are incapable to play role of an objective opposition.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said PPP leadership observed patience despite their instigation.
She said if the budget is not passed people will be deprived of their raised salaries and defence budget cannot be released.
She said that the benefits of the budget 2011-12 will trickle down to the people but PML-N tried to bulldoze it.
She said the negative tactics adopted by the PML-N will weaken the democracy.
