Pak-India talks on Siachen end in smoke


The two-day talks on Siachen in New Delhi have failed, claimed the Indian media on Tuesday.
A four-member delegation headed by Defence Secretary Lt General (r) Syed Ather Ali participated in the talks with Maj Gen Ashfaq Nadeem Ahmed, Maj Gen Munwar Ahmed Solehri and Maj Gen (r) Mir Haider Ali Khan as its members.The Indian side was represented by Pradeep Kumar, RK Mathur, Lt General AM Verma and General S Subha Rao. The talks were part of a composite dialogue between Pakistan and India covering all issues, including Kashmir since August 2004.
The two countries decided to resume dialogue following a meeting between the prime ministers of both countries in Thimpu in April 2010.
