Stagnant water causes diseases in flood-hit areas


BADIN: Rainwater could not be drained out yet due to which stagnant water causes disease in various cities. The fresh floods have breached several nullahs and canals in district Badin and no arrangements have been made to fill them.

According to the details, thousands of villages in Jati, Sajawal and Mirpur Bathoro areas of district Thatta remained under water irking life of a common man. Rainwater also remained stood in Mirpurkhas, Jhado, Naukot and Umerkot causing gastro diseases.Arrangements have also not been made to repair roads in Kot Diji, Nara and Faiz Ganj areas of Khairpur tehsil due to which land contact among hundreds of villages remained halted causing food shortage in flood-hit areas.Meanwhile, rainwater in various areas of Nawabshah city, Dolatpur and Dor Qazi Ahmad remained stood several feats and could not yet be drained out.
