KARACHI: The intense wave of hot weather has blanketed Sindh and Punjab provinces plain areas but the unprecedented power outages in the history of Pakistan have added fuel to fire, multiplying grievances of poor masses.
Worst ever summer season together with scorching sunlight have hit very badly the hustle and bustle of daily life as during the day hours, most people prefer to stay at home instead of rendering routine jobs.
According to metrological office, the ongoing wave of extreme heat would continue to blanket plain areas in Sindh and Balochistan provinces for 3 more days to come.
Some of the areas are going to witness increase in temperature in coming days, met office said.
The highest temperature recorded a few hours earlier was in Larkana district where mercury has risen to 47 degrees centigrade while Lasbela, Jacobabad, Dadu and Nawabshah districts are witnessing temperature at 41 degrees centigrade.
In Punjab and Balochistan, the cities like Sibbi, Bahawalpur, Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Multan are undergoing 40-41 degrees centigrades.
Metrological officials refused likelihood of rainfall in any part of country within next 72 hours, adding that dry and hot weather will prevail in most parts of country within next three days.
