The two most unpredictable teams go head to head in the 1st quarter-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur in Bangladesh today. Though on form one will have to say that Pakistan are clear favorites having beaten both Sri Lanka and Australia in group stages but they were also pummeled by weaker New Zealand. So you do not know which Pakistan turns up on the day!! The form Afridi showed with the ball in the first three games has been missing lately though they have Umar Gul who has been bowling brilliantly. The top order has been inconsistent though young Asad Shafiq has added solidity. The middle order has been in decent form though with Younis Khan, Misbah ul Haq and Umer Akmal scoring most of the runs for them till now. For the West Indies, Chris Gayle and Kemar Roach will be back and that will definitely be a big boost for them. Gayle and Devon Smith at the top of the order have been good for the West Indies. Sarwan and Pollard have scored on and off… the finger injury to Pollard will be a concern for the West Indies at the moment. They also have good spinners in Benn and Bishoo. Just sit back and relax and enjoy the game between two of the most fascinating teams in this World Cup.
